Commercial Equipped Applicator

The Lower White River Pest Control District is accepting bid proposals for commercial

equipped applicators to spray herbicides on private land located within the District. Bids

will be opened by the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, County Annex, 17497 State Hwy 64, Rangely, Colorado at 11:00am.  For bid specifications and time line details contact Wade Cox at 970-462-5835 for bid packets.  If mailed, bid packets are due to the Board of Commissioners, Box i, Meeker, CO  81648 no later than Friday, April 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.  If hand delivered the day of the bid opening (April 21st), the bids must be received no later than 11:00am by the Board of County Commissioners, County Annex, 17497 State Hwy 64, Rangely, CO.  Bid packets must be clearly marked Herbicide Spray AND Lower White River Pest Control District on the outside of the bid packet.

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that a regular election of the RANGELY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT shall be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The election is being conducted as a mail ballot election.  Mail ballots will be mailed to eligible electors between April 13, 2020 and April 20, 2020 (between 22 and 15 days prior to the election date).

Applications for and return of absentee voter ballots may be filed with, and replacement ballots received from the Designated Election Official, Cathy A. Kiser. As of the date of preparing this notice, the physical office is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact the Designated Election Official by phone or email to arrange for an absentee ballot or for any updates regarding changes to election day procedures. Last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, April 28th.

RANGELY JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT NOTICE OF 2020-2021 BUDGET APPROVAL

Notice is hereby given that a proposed 2020-2021 budget has been submitted to the Rangely Junior College District Board of Directors for the ensuing year of 2020-2021; a copy of such budget is on file at Linda Gordon/Budget Officer, 215 Hillcrest Avenue, Rangely, CO   where same is open for public inspection; such budget will be considered at the regularly scheduled board meeting of the Rangely Junior College District to be held on April 21, 2020, Noon CNCC, Johnson Banquet Room for final adoption of 2020-2021 budget.  Any interested elector of such Rangely Junior College District may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District (“ERBM”), a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, is inviting proposals from qualified General Contractors for the Meeker Recreation Center Roofing Replacement, located at 101 Ute Rd. in Meeker, Colorado.

Contractors must submit their bid proposals before 5pm on Friday, June 12th, 2020 at ERBM’s administrative office located at 101 Ute Road, Meeker, Colorado 81641; or via email at [email protected]. Bids must be clearly marked “MRC Roof Replacement”.

This is a guaranteed maximum price construction project. A full Request for Proposal, Project specifications, and Owner-Contractor Agreement template can be obtained at www.ERBMrec.com or by contacting Rodney Gerloff, 970-878-7420 or via email at [email protected].

A mandatory pre-proposal walk-through of the Project site with an ERBM representative, may be scheduled with advanced notice to the contact information provided in this notice. Requests for pre-proposal walkthroughs will be accepted through 5pm Friday, May 29th.

Construction timing to be negotiated with contractor. ERBM reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Each proposal shall be reviewed and considered consistent to adopted ERBM Fiscal Policies and Procedures.

NOTICE OF MAIL BALLOT ELECTION FOR

DOUGLAS CREEK CONSERVATION DISTRICT

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN and particularly to the electors of the Douglas Creek Conservation District (“District”) of Rio Blanco and Garfield Counties, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a regular election of the District shall be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  The election is being conducted as a mail ballot election.   The ballots will be mailed to the qualified electors of the District no earlier than 22 days prior to the election (April 13, 2020) and no later than 15 days prior to the election (April 20, 2020).  The drop off location for the delivery of mail ballots and receipt of replacement ballots shall be located at the District’s office, 351 7th Street, Meeker, Colorado, 81641, and shall be open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. beginning at least 22 days prior to the election day and from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on election day.  Ballots can also be dropped off at the Town of Rangely offices, 209 East Main Street, Rangely, Colorado.

At such election, the electors of the District shall vote for and against Ballot Issue A and for Supervisors to serve the following terms of office on the Board of Supervisors of the District:

   E. Move to approve/deny Request for Reimbursement No. 8 from TO Engineers for the Meeker Airport Coulter Field Federal Grant #3-08-0041-013-2018, State Grant #18-EEO-01, in the total amount of $7,922.70. The FFA reimbursement is $7,130.43, the State reimbursement is $396.14, the RBC sponsor commitment is $396.13.

   F. Move to approve/deny an Easement Agreement between the Board of County Commissioners of Rio Blanco County, Colorado and K.C. Burke and James Burke for access to the Lower Piceance Secondary Tower Broadband Project.

   G. Move to approve/deny a comment letter from the Board of County Commissioners of Rio Blanco County, Colorado to the U. S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management in support of Competitive Lease Sale, DOI-BLM-CO-N050-2020-0015 of 120 acres located within Rio Blanco County, Colorado.

   H. Move to approve/deny a comment letter from the Board of County Commissioners of Rio Blanco County, Colorado to the U. S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management regarding the request for a Categorical Exclusion for implementing pinyon pine and juniper tree removal treatments within Mule Deer and Sage Grouse habitats within Rio Blanco County.

   I. Move to approve/deny a joint comment letter from the Board of County Commissioners of Rio Blanco County, Colorado, the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, the Board of County Commissioners of Jackson County and the Board of County Commissioners of Moffat County to the U. S.
