NOTICE OF UPCOMING ELECTION/
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Rangely Junior College District election will be held where there will be three seats open on the Board of Trustees. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes will each serve four-year terms. Anyone interested in running for these seats must be a registered voter and reside within the Rangely Junior College District. In addition it is necessary to submit a notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 25 registered voters residing in the College District. The first day to circulate nomination petitions is August 7, 2019. The above mentioned forms may be obtained from Linda Gordon, 215 Hillcrest Avenue, Rangely CO, 970-629-1116. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Meeker School District Re-1
Rio Blanco County, Colorado
The Board of Education of Meeker School District Re-1 in the County of Rio Blanco, State of Colorado, calls for nomination of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
At this election three (3) directors will be elected for four (4) year terms. To be qualified a candidate must be a registered elector in the school district for at least twelve consecutive months before the election as shown on the records of the Rio Blanco County Clerk & Recorder.
A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least twenty-five (25) eligible electors who are registered to vote in the regular biennial school election for at least 12 consecutive months before the election in accordance with law. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at the school administration office, 555 Garfield, Meeker, Colorado, beginning on August 7, 2019. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Completed petitions should be submitted to Janelle Urista/Jessica Browning, the School District’s designated election officials no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 29, 2019.

Airport Master Plan Meeting Public Notice
Meeker Airport Coulter Field is in the process of completing an Airport Master Plan. The second public meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the Rio Blanco County Courthouse, 3rd Floor Hearing Room, 555 Main Street in Meeker. The meeting will include presentation of the aviation forecast. The public is invited to attend to learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide feedback. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Motion has been filed in the above-referenced action requesting the appointment of Directors for Division A to the Board of Directors of the Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District (the “District”).
Said Motion requests that Directors be appointed for Division A for four-year terms to expire upon the appointment of his/her successor pursuant to these proceedings.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
Sealed BIDS for construction of the Town of Rangely Wastewater Collection System Improvements 2019 will be received by the Town of Rangely at Town Hall, 209 E. Main Street, Rangely, Colorado, 81648, until 3:00 pm, Monday, August 26, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid may be emailed as long as the hardcopy bid, including all required bonds, are also mailed, with a postmark of 8/26/2019, to Town of Rangely at the address above. Failure to send the hard copy with required postmark will disqualify the bidder.
The project generally consists of replacement of 6 manholes within the Town’s collection system, along with associated piping and appurtenances and all associated tasks. Contractor will provide Traffic Control for the project, including in the Highway 64 corridor according to the CDOT- approved Traffic Control Plan. The Town will be acting as the General Contractor and will provide all materials including manholes, pipe, and fill; excluding flow fill, concrete and asphalt. The Town reserves the right to modify quantities.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Time is of the essence, so Contractor’s estimated start and completion dates will be considered along with bid price. A Bid Bond will be required. Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the bid amount will be required upon contract award.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00am, Monday August 19, 2019, at the Town of Rangely Town Hall located at 209 E. Main Street (Hwy 64) in Rangely, Colorado. All questions pertaining to the project shall be directed to Jocelyn Mullen, PE through email at [email protected] no later than August 23, 2019 at 3pm.
Electronic documents are available free of charge after August 13, 2019 from the Town of Rangely at Town Hall, 209 E. Main Street, Rangely, Colorado, 81648. Documents are available for reviewing at Town Hall.
This project is being funded by the Town of Rangely Wastewater Enterprise Fund and the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Energy/Mineral Impact Assistance Grant Funding.
