Natural Soda LLC (NS) has filed a request with The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) to reduce their required financial warranty amount from $7,521,565.00 to $3,671,965.00. A financial warranty of $3,671,965.00 will cover all reclamation costs for the current land disturbance and infrastructure and reflects current NS operations. This will result in a reduction of the surety to NS in the amount of $3,849,600.00. NS operates a sodium bicarbonate solution mining operation located approximately 25 miles West southwest of Meeker, Colorado.

The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has approved the NS Technical Revision 44, which was a recalculation of a more accurate required financial warranty, as of October 7, 2019. Any comments or questions should be addressed to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Rm. 215, Denver, CO 80203.

Any comments concerning the financial warranty reduction request must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety by 4:00 p.m. on November 12, 2019.
