Walbridge Wing residents enjoyed the Fourth of July parade on Tuesday, with entries like Blanco Cellar’s Vanessa Trout on roller skates and many others. The Meeker Chamber puts on the parade each year.
After the parade, root beer floats were served by the historical society at Streamline Realty downtown prior to a watermelon eating contest and the annual reenactment of the first foiled Meeker Bank Robbery, performed by local residents to provide a dash of historical entertainment.
