MEEKER | The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce has a change of leadership coming its way. Emma Baker, a chamber board member and past board president, has agreed to take on the Executive Director position.
Candra Robie, the current Executive Director, will transition to an Assistant Director role within the organization to better facilitate family obligations.
Baker worked as the Member Services Representative for the past four years at Moon Lake Electric Association. She has served on the chamber board since March 2022, including serving as board president in 2023. She also is a small business owner in the community, providing graphic design support through her company, Pixel Goose Drone and Design.
Robie’s tenure saw several points of growth for the Rangely chamber. Coming to the organization after a tenure as the Athletic Director at Colorado Northwestern Community College, she has overseen a 123 percent increase in membership revenue, while also overseeing a 51 percent increase in membership. She also worked to redesign membership packages to better meet business needs, while also creating the popular ‘Lunch & Learn’ initiative that helped local business owners collaborate on a variety of initiatives.
Robie also worked as a key player in luring a series of events to spur hospitality spending in the community. As part of the transition, Robie will continue managing membership engagement events.
