RANGELY | The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce recognized local businesses and community leaders during its 2025 Chamber Business Awards celebration, which also served as a fundraiser benefiting Giant Step Preschool & Childcare.
Through nominations and voting tied to the Adult Prom King and Queen contest, the chamber raised $1,197.50, an amount that was matched dollar-for-dollar by Powell Liquor Company. The combined total raised for Giant Step Preschool & Childcare was $2,395.
Business of the Year honors went to Big D’s Oilfield Service. Owners Mandi Smuts, DawnLynn Smuts and Dylan Smuts accepted the award alongside chamber officers and board members.
The Small Business of the Year award was presented to Powell Liquor Company, owned by Jessy and Courtney Powell.
Named Home-Based/Non-Profit of the Year was Rangely No. 1907 Elks Lodge, recognized for its continued service and community involvement.
The Community Partner of the Year award went to the Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District.
Friend of the Chamber honors were awarded to Diana Sizemore for her ongoing support of chamber initiatives and community efforts.
The evening also crowned Adult Prom King and Queen Brad and Michelle Casto.
Chamber officials thanked sponsors, nominees and attendees for supporting both the awards program and the fundraiser. The annual celebration is intended to highlight the contributions of local businesses in the Rangely community.
