RANGELY – The Rangely Wrestling Club started the season at its first tournament last weekend in Hayden.
Hunter Hanvey won three of his four matches by pin to take first place. C.J. Lucero and first year wrestler Zach Garcia took second place. Third place medal winners were Shawn Garcia, Ketsen Rouse, Ethan Allred, and Luke Noel and fourth place medal winners were Justin Rusher, Kaden Colborn, Ryan Barlow and Blade Rose.
Dylan LeBleu, Kambrian Colborn, Caleb Garcia, Grady Nielsen, Colten Fritzlan, Caleb Urie and Troy Allred didn’t place this week but wrestled hard and continue to improve at every practice.
The Panthers will travel to Rifle on April 5 and host its home tournament on Saturday April 12 at Rangely High School.
