RANGELY HOMECOMING 2022

The Panthers celebrated homecoming last week, with a chili dinner and bonfire Thursday evening and the ‘Racing Through The Decades’-themed parade Friday, followed by a football game and weekend volleyball matches.

Rangely celebrated homecoming last week, crowning Kevin Wren and Kyrah Phelps (left) and Luis Quintana and Rylee Allred (right) as attendants and Wyatt Wiley and Kristiana Terry (center) as homecoming king and queen. In front are Kannon Pennell and Jacie Plummer.

The Panthers took on West Grand Oct. 7. It was the Panther’s homecoming week, so emotions were high, and everyone was ready to participate in all the weekend’s events. The Panthers fell short to the Mustangs, losing the first game 19-25 and losing the second game 17-25. The panthers were led by Chloe Noel with six kills. Audy Ryder, Aaleigh Donovan and Zoie Britt all led the team with the one ace. The Panthers continuie to show lots of improvement, even though the score is not showing it. The JV team put up a good fight but just couldn’t pull out the win. They lost to the Mustangs in two sets, 14-25 and 14-25. Sidney Lujan led the team in kills with four followed by Addie Scott with three. Sidney also led the team in digs with 12 followed by Tylee and Paola each with seven.  After the long week of Homecoming festivities, the varsity was looking for a win to end the week.  After fighting hard, the Panthers dropped the match in four sets.  Unfortunately, unforced errors and terminating play cost the Panthers in the end.  Kyrah Phelps had a season high of 12 kills, with Lexi LeBleu adding 11 kills.  Defensively Emma Smith led with 42 kill and Kyrah Phelps had 32 digs.
