RANGELY | Rangely Jr. High cross country is underway. The Panthers started their season a little over two weeks ago and have made huge strides. The team, made up of 28 students, competed in their first meet in Vernal, Utah. For their very first race, with very little training, the athletes did an amazing job. Their second meet came only two days later in Meeker, where the girls’ team placed first.
“I am very excited and proud that these kids have decided to go out and try something new. Running might not be their first love, but they are out participating, competing, having fun, and being great teammates,” said Coach Wilkie. The Panthers next meet will be Oct. 2 in Rangely.
