RANGELY | The junior high Panther runners traveled to Hotchkiss with the high school team to compete with close to 180 middle school boys and girls on a 1.6-mile course. With hardly a flat stretch on the course, the boys were led by Andrew Dorris who crossed the line in 23rd place with a time of 11:49 in the boys’ division. Anthony Dorris and Fisher Winder ran side by side for most the race with Anthony crossing the finish line in 43rd with a time of 12:36 and Winder in 46th with a time of 12:43. Justin Allred had a strong run finishing in 66th with a time of 13:44. The lone female runner, Macy Morgan, ran the course in a time of 17:26 and finished 74th. The team will travel to Eagle Valley on Saturday to compete in their next meet.
