Several Rangely High School volleyball players, including Simone Heinle, McKale Pennell, Aimee Hogan and Desiree Coombs (in front row), and Katye Allred and Lindsey Thacker (standing), along with Antoinette Dorris, Chelsea Ficken and Sidney Shaffer, who are not pictured, were recently recognized by the Western Slope League and their coaches. Hogan, Ficken, Pennell and Heinle all made the Academic All-Conference team and Coombs was honorably mentioned. Hogan was also honorably mentioned by the WSL for her play and named the team’s MVP. Dorris was named Rookie of the Year, Shaffer was Most Improved and Thacker and Allred were both given the Coaches’ Award.
