RANGELY | The Rangely Panthers wrestling team showcased their talent this weekend, taking seven wrestlers to the tournament and earning an impressive second-place team finish. Here are the standout individual results:
113 lbs: Cameron Preciado claimed 1st place, dominating his weight class.
113 lbs: Blaine Stevens rounded out the team’s podium spots with a 2nd place result.
120 lbs: Ayden Frasier also secured 1st place, showing exceptional skill on the mat.
138 lbs: Davon Lucero battled hard and earned a 4th place finish.
145 lbs: Jordan Irwin captured another 1st place title for the Panthers.
152 lbs: Landon Carlson continued the team’s success, taking 1st place as well.
Heavy Weight: Jordon Blanchard fought his way to a strong 2nd place finish.
The team was bolstered by the return of three additional wrestlers this week: Robert Murray, Izaiah Moody, and Wyatt Stevens. Both Robert and Izaiah are seniors, as are key contributors Jordan Irwin, Landon Carlson, and Aydan Christian.
Notably, Gage Nielsen (106 lbs) was unable to compete as he participated in the Best of the West Band event in Grand Junction, and Aydan Christian (120 lbs) remains on the injured reserve list.
With such a strong showing and new additions to the roster, the Panthers are poised for an exciting season ahead.
