Individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 have been able to get tested for the virus at both county hospitals for several weeks. As of May 8, the county has added community testing in Meeker and Rangely.
People who have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within the last seven days — fever, cough, muscle pain, sore throat, shaking with chills, fatigue, chills, headache, shortness of breath, recent loss of taste or smell — should call public health. If testing is indicated, an appointment will be made. Testing through public health is free of charge and insurance is not required.
In Meeker, call 970-878-9520. Appointments will be scheduled on Fridays between 12-2 p.m. in the rear parking lot of the Fairfield Center (public health offices).
In Rangely, call 970-620-3969. Appointments will be scheduled at the Rangely District Hospital drive-through testing site, Monday through Friday between 12-1 p.m.
