RBC Weekly Call Review

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.

April 10-16, 2017
For the last week the dispatch center received 425 incoming phone calls and placed 194 outgoing calls, received 18 911 calls and 40 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD). A total of 136 calls for service were created, 98 for the Sheriff’s Office, 40 for MPD and one call for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of three accidents were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 48 traffic stops issuing seven citations and 41 warnings while the MPD had six stops all issued warnings.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s deputies included five agency assists, two 911 hangup/misdials, seven animal calls, four civil papers served, six motorist assists, nine suspicious incidents, one traffic accident, two traffic arrests and one VIN inspection.
Meeker Police Department calls included two agency assists, two alarms, three animal calls, three business checks, two criminal mischief, one domestic violence, one juvenile problem, three motorist assists, one probation violation, four suspicious incidents, one theft, one traffic arrest and one VIN inspection.
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to one fire alarm.
There were six arrests and four releases, the Detention Center currently has 11 inmates.
There were two assists to Colorado State Patrol.
There were no DUI arrests.
