I am writing in response to the lady saying there is more writings about Meeker than Rangely.
I had to laugh, because it sounded like me a few years back — more about Rangely than Meeker. Then I thought, Why am I saying this? If it weren’t for both towns we wouldn’t even have a paper, and that would be a lot worse. Then I thought, “It’s mind over matter, if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” I really enjoy reading about both towns, because you learn about people. I’ve wondered how the paper chooses the people in the “Home Of,” and being an old-timer (I’m 82) I thought how nice it is that you have a lot of young families in this section as well. I really like that it gives new names we didn’t know about. It is a pretty neat way to meet new people. I have lived in Rio Blanco County for 61 years and I have seen a lot of changes, some good, some not so good, but you do a great job on the paper, Jeff, whether it is Rangely or Meeker news.

Editor’s Note: Thank you. Anyone is able to call in and request a “Home of” for a particular day. If we don’t have a day booked for a specific person, we will randomly choose someone in the county. Unless dates are specifically requested, we rotate between a Meeker and Rangely resident each week.
