RBC I The American Red Cross Colorado and Wyoming Region has opened the search for an executive director to lead the American Red Cross of Northern Colorado.
The Red Cross will fill the leadership position when current Executive Director Erin Mounsey steps down in July after 11 years working for the Red Cross.
Mounsey began his trajectory with the Red Cross as a volunteer and plans to return to the ranks of Red Cross volunteers when he departs in July to focus on his health and explore opportunities in the business realm.
“Even as a returning volunteer, my goals are to support the pursuit of our vital mission: ensuring that the ray of light that is hope always burns bright in the darkest of places,” Mounsey said.
“Erin has continually embodied the kindness and compassion that are at the heart of the mission of the American Red Cross. We are grateful for his past—and continued— dedication to that mission,” said Gino Greco, CEO of the American Red Cross Colorado and Wyoming Region.
