RANGELY I The newly installed 2012 Rangely National Junior Honor Society high school students met on Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school for their first meeting of the school year. The nine members in attendance were Heather Turner, Kellsie Nash, Chris Staley, William Scoggins, Mandy Dwang, Kelsey Prosser, Chelsea Ficken, Leslie Hernandez, and Tessa Slagle. Teachers Wanstedt and Green started the meeting with nominations for officers. This year’s NHS president is Heather Turner, vice president Kellsie Nash, secretary Mandy Dwang, treasurer William Scoggins and co-historians are Kelsey Prosser and Tessa Slagle. The National Honor Society will be selling root beer floats for $1 at the high school’s homecoming volleyball and football games on Sept. 14 in the lower commons. National Honor Society members need to remember their $10 fee for this year’s T-shirt.
