RHS secures 6-2 league record

Rangely | The Rangely varsity volleyball team had an outstanding weekend on the courts, securing victories against Hayden High School and Grand Valley High School. 

In the showdown against Grand Valley, the Rangely team demonstrated their skill and teamwork, triumphing in three sets with scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-17. Annika Cantrell led the charge with an impressive 10 kills, while Lexi LeBleu added eight kills and Kaitlyn Cox made significant contributions as well.

Lexi LeBleu showcased her prowess from the service line, accumulating 11 service points. Karlee Halcomb and Emma Smith also played pivotal roles, each contributing seven service points. On the defensive front, Aubrianna Tapia stood tall with two blocks, and Karlee Halcomb notched 10 digs. Audy Ryder provided solid support with eight digs.

The dynamic duo of Halcomb and Cox displayed their impeccable setting skills, tallying 19 and 16 assists, respectively. Emmeree Wagner showcased her exceptional digging abilities with 15 digs, while Emma Smith added 11 and Audy Ryder chipped in with 10.

In the previous match against Hayden, the Panthers emerged victorious in three sets with scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-10. Annika Cantrell led the team with a remarkable 10 kills, followed by Addison Scott and Lexi LeBleu, each contributing six kills. Addison Scott also made her presence felt with 16 service points, while LeBleu added seven.

Aubrianna Tapia once again displayed her defensive prowess with two blocks, and Kaitlyn Cox shone with 20 assists in the game. Emmeree Wagner showcased her digging skills with 19 digs, while Emma Smith contributed nine.

With these impressive victories, the Rangely varsity volleyball team’s record now stands at 6-2 in the league and an overall record of 9-5. Their next challenge will be an away match against West Grand, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, starting at 6 p.m. Rangely fans are eagerly anticipating another thrilling performance from their unstoppable Panthers.
