RANGELY I The Rangely track team was fortunate enough to take two hard-working senior athletes to the State Track and Field Championships this past weekend.
Logan Osborne qualified for the 300 hurdles and Audrey Hogan qualified for both the 800 run and the 1,600 run.
Last Friday, Osborne started off with the prelims to the 300 hurdles. There were two heats for the boys’ 2A division. Osborne needed to have one of the top-nine fastest times. He ended up running a good race, but took 10th place overall with a time of 42.86.
Hogan started her events on Friday, running the 800. She took 10th out of 16. She then ran the mile on Saturday. She placed 11th overall out of about 20.
The coaches were happy to take these two athletes to state and had a great time with them.
