RBC I On Aug. 3, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners for Rio Blanco County entered into an intergovernmental agreement with the Board of County Commissioners for Moffat County for the Moffat County Department of Human Services to provide temporary coverage for Child Welfare and Adult Protection Services to Rio Blanco County Department of Human Services. This agreement became necessary to allow Rio Blanco County Department of Human Services to continue to provide coverage to the citizens of Rio Blanco County during the period necessary to hire and train new caseworkers, supervisors, and a deputy director. This was due to a staff shortage in Rio Blanco County. Rio Blanco only has one employee that is certified for child welfare and adult protection services and does not have any supervisory staff other than Tia Murry, who is the joint director for Rio Blanco and Moffat County Department of Human Services.
