RBC | Rio Blanco County is pleased to welcome Meghan Davis as the new County Extension Director. Davis officially began her role on June 8 and brings extensive experience in agriculture, education and youth development to the position.
A resident of Rio Blanco County for the past 12 years, Davis is familiar with communities throughout the county and has built strong connections through her professional and volunteer service. Prior to joining CSU Extension, she served as dean of academics at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, where she demonstrated a strong commitment to education and community engagement. She has also served as a dedicated 4-H Dog Project Leader for the past 11 years, helping local youth develop valuable skills, confidence and a passion for working with animals.
Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in animal sciences from Washington State University in 2012 and a Master of Science in animal sciences with an emphasis in reproduction in 2014.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent and support our community as the next county extension director,” said Davis. “Agriculture is at the heart of Rio Blanco County, and I’m looking forward to connecting our producers and consumers with vital resources to meet their needs so our traditions can continue for the next generation.”
In her new role, Davis looks forward to meeting with local stakeholders, strengthening Extension programs and helping connect residents with research-based resources that support agriculture, natural resources, youth development and community well-being.
