The Meeker Summer Rodeo Series of 2022 is happy to announce that the summer of 2023 will be the seventh year of the weekly summer rodeos. Once again, our Thursday night rodeo will be available for the enjoyment of all.
The 2022 Meeker Summer Rodeo series season, due to the generosity of our rodeo supporters like you, was a free spectator event. Our attendees were able to come and enjoy every Thursday, all summer, without any gate fees. Additionally, we were able to offer $500 in additional prize money for the weekly bull riding event. This additional prize money brought in record numbers of riders.
As it has been in the past years, the Summer Series was completely paid for by generous donors. Our supporter base includes over 30 businesses and individual donors which come together to offer the NW Corner of Colorado this outstanding, weekly outdoor event. As well as monetary donations, other local businesses also donated gift certificates to offer at our weekly raffles — up to six prizes nightly for all 10 rodeos. Our concessions stand was again supported by the local Meeker Lions Club and the Barone Middle School eighth grade class. The 2022 sales were near $10,000 from which all proceeds help to fund the class’s yearly trip to
the our nation’s capital.
Accordingly, we ask you for your support for the summer of 2023. The Rodeo Season will have eight Thursday night rodeos starting June 8, 2023. With your generous donations, the summer series will continue to offer an evening of fun for young and old alike. Please consider supporting Meeker’s endeavors with a monetary donation.
