RANGELY | It was a tough weekend for the lady Panthers. For homecoming weekend the Panthers went up against the Hayden Tigers on Friday and the Cedaredge Bruins on Saturday. JV took their game Friday to three sets, losing in a close match to the Tigers, as well as losing to the Bruins 2-0. In both games the Panthers played well but couldn’t pull it out in the end.
It was the same story with the varsity matches. The varsity Panthers lost Friday 3-2 pushing the Tigers to five sets, then losing to the Bruins 3-0 Saturday.
Both games the Panthers played well and had great rallies, but just couldn’t get enough momentum to pull it out. Stat leaders on the weekend include Chloe Goshe with 40 assists and 30 digs, Kacie Lapp with 17 kills and 13 digs, Hannah Wilkie with 16 kills, 15 digs and two blocks, and Aspen Low with six blocks and eight aces.
The lady Panthers hope to bounce back, taking on the Soroco Rams on Friday at home and traveling to DeBeque Saturday.
