Senator Al White to be appointed director of board

RBC I State Senator Al White, R-Hayden, announced today that he will be joining the Hickenlooper Administration as Director of the Colorado Tourism Office. “After fighting for Colorado’s tourism industry for over a decade in the General Assembly I am excited to begin this new endeavor,” said White. “Tourism is a great tool to create jobs that have a positive impact on the economy.”
Assistant Minority Leader Bill Cadman stated, “Senator White has been one of tourism’s strongest allies in the General Assembly. Colorado is lucky to have someone with such passion and talent leading this effort.”
Al White is a United States Army veteran, an entrepreneur and the State Senator for Colorado Senate District 8 which includes Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Rio Blanco, and Eagle Counties; and parts of Garfield County. During his tenure in the General Assembly Senator White has been a tireless advocate for job growth, economic development, education, limited government, agriculture and balancing environmental protection, recreational usage and resource management.
