RBC — Bringing eight years of experience from the House of Representatives, including two years as the House Republicans’ only member on the powerful Joint Budget Committee, Senator-elect Al White of Hayden was appointed by Senate GOP chief Josh Penry to continue to serve on the key budget-writing panel. Penry said White was the clear choice for the JBC post due not only to his experience representing the House Republicans on the committee, but also because of his experience as a small-business owner and entrepreneur.
“Al White has exactly the right kind of know-how and experience to make decisions about how our state’s dollars should be spent” Penry said.
As a member of the committee, White will also serve on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
