“Seussical, Jr.” musical debuts

Cast members of the musical Seussical Jr. dance during a recent dress rehearsal before their upcoming performances Friday and Saturday. More than 50 young thespians have been rehearsing since August for Friday’s performance at 6 p.m. And Saturday’s performance at 3 p.m., both in the Meeker High School Auditorium.
MEEKER I Remember those great childhood stories by Dr. Seuss, and his amazing characters such as “The Cat in the Hat”? Those zany and colorful characters will come to life in the ERBM Recreation and Park District’s Center Stage Youth Theatrical Group production of “Seussical, Jr.” on Nov. 16, at 6 p.m., and Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium at 500 School St. Tickets purchased in advance for all ages are $4 available at the Meeker Recreation Center, or $5 at the door on performance days. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as a favorite Seuss character, bring a camera and have a picture taken with a cast member or set piece. For more information contact the Meeker Recreation Center at 970-878-3403.
