RBC I The county’s public health department is reporting “sharp increases” in new COVID cases this week with “multiple outbreaks” particularly in Rangely. Community members are advised to isolate and test if symptomatic and/or if close contact has occurred. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to quarantine, but are still advised to watch for symptoms and take precautions if exposed.
RBC Public Health is reporting 32 active cases in Rangely and six active cases in Meeker as of Tuesday, with no current hospitalizations. Five deaths have been reported.
Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials on Thursday in addition to the regular vaccination clinics in Meeker and Rangely.
