Colorado Northwestern Community College, Rio Blanco County, the Town of Rangely, Rangely Chamber of Commerce, Rio Blanco Water Conservation District and Colorado Seaplane Initiative are co-hosting this event to highlight CNCC’s Aviation Technology Flight Program and its recent expansion to include seaplane training and certification. The day’s events will include presentations by CNCC faculty and staff regarding the college’s unique aviation program, a seminar on aquatic nuisance species (ANS) prevention and decontamination, a “splash-in” at Kenney Reservoir by several seaplanes, and the official presentation to CNCC of a Lake model seaplane, donated to the program by Carl Mattson of Denver.
