Students of the month …

Two Rangely High School students were honored with January “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting on Feb. 20. Principal Crandal Mergelman said the honorees were seniors Linsley Morrill and Patrick Scoggins. During their high school careers, these two individuals have taken on a couple roles that will be hard to replace. Morrill has developed and published almost every program for athletic events, music concerts and any other activity that our school has hosted. Scoggins has developed his skills in the digital design world including the artwork on programs, the Bleed Green posters, the senior posters in the gyms and multiple designs on T-shirts. “These two young people have brought their skills to our school and have helped to make a positive difference for anyone attending our activities. Both Linsley and Patrick will make an impact in the world,” Mergelman said.

As part of this new program, each month Rangely High School will honor two students from the high school for hard work and dedication to the school and the community. Mergelman said he will be working with local agencies to help honor our students and in the first presentation, Jeff LeBleu of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks was there to present the award.
