MEEKER | The Meeker Stampede summer softball season is in full swing. The 12 and under team and 16 and under team competed in Grand Junction on June 9-10.
“Both teams faced tough competition but our girls worked hard every single inning,” commented head coach Kendal Bergman. “We learned a lot and we’re ready for our next games.”
The 14U team has also played and will be hosting Montrose this upcoming Saturday, June 24, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will have a game against Rifle next Tuesday.
“We hope everyone can come on out and support the girls while they play at home,” said Bergman.
The 16U team will be in Brighton for a tournament this upcoming weekend and the 12U will be hosting Craig again on Friday June 30 with games at 10 a.m. and noon.
“The season is very fast but I’m super proud of how much we’ve learned and grown in such a short time. Go Stampede!” wrapped up Bergman.
