Meeker Elementary School recently finished a reading competition for Kindergarten through fifth grade. The three students in each grade who read the most minutes received $75, $50, and $25 in Chamber Bucks for first, second, and third place, respectively. Grade level winners are as follows: Kindergarten — William Edinger, Kimber Richardson and Whitney Carroll; first grade — Jamison Piper (not pictured), Lilly Herndon and Dante Mendoza; second grade — Eden Stagg, Fletcher Chinn and Adrian Baumgart; third grade — Fell Borchard, Cooper Braaten and Sylas Muir; fourth grade — Miles Etchart, Ellianne Stagg and Dish Arnold; fifth grade — Graysie Coryell, Cora Lewis and Ollie Thomson. The competition was organized by MHS junior Ainsley Selle who would like to thank Lee Overton and Overton Recycling for providing funding necessary to purchase all of the prizes. Many thanks to the elementary classroom teachers as well for their support with this competition.
