Superintendent finalists named

RANGELY — Rangely School District Re-4 chose three finalists for the superintendent position Friday night.
The board members hope to make a decision on the next superintendent by May 26, with a starting date of July 1.
The school board, using screening criteria established through focus groups conducted with community members, staff members, administrative members and board members, selected the following candidates as finalists to be interviewed on May 17:
n Kevin Chalfant, principal, Peyton School District, Colorado
n Dwayne Newman, principal, Meeker School District, Colorado
n Danny Schmidt, superintendent/principal, Idalia School District, Colorado
