Support the Meeker Education Foundation on Colorado Gives Day Dec. 4

MEEKER | What is Colorado Gives Day?
Community First Foundation and FirstBank will present the 2018 Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, Dec. 4. All charities listed on ColoradoGives.org, including the Meeker Education Foundation, have met the high standards of Community First Foundation’s screening. They are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and the Secretary of State as nonprofits in good standing and all donations to them are tax deductible.
You’re invited to consider supporting the work of the Meeker Education Foundation through this online, statewide, giving event. MEF’s profile is on their website, ColoradoGives.org.
Why is this a good way to support MEF?
Community First Foundation and FirstBank have generously established a $1 million incentive fund and every nonprofit receiving donations on Colorado Gives Day will receive a prorated portion of this fund. Your donation will be boosted and MEF will receive more than the amount of your gift. You may preschedule a donation through Colorado Gives Day ahead of time or make one Dec. 4.
In the past four years the Meeker Education Foundation’s focus has been to support the Meeker School District’s Curriculum Development Plan. The Foundation has funded supporting curricular materials through its Grant Award Program. Thanks to its generous donors, MEF has been able to invest more than $240,000 in our classrooms by purchasing multiple sets of textbooks; other curricular materials, equipment and supplies; technology hardware (laptops, tablets); student enrichment opportunities and the Meeker Elementary Garden (an effective outdoor classroom utilized for scientific education and incorporating many interdisciplinary lessons for math, writing and reading, social studies and the arts).
How to donate:
1) Go to ColoradoGives.org 2) enter “Meeker Education Foundation, Inc.” in the “Search by name, keyword” box 3) enter “nonprofits” in the next drop down box labeled “Sort by” 4) MEF’s logo and donation box will come up.
