A few days ago, my husband and I were commenting on how nice it’s been in the last few years that Meeker has seen hardly any trouble or minor crimes on Halloween. I can remember a few years back reading in the paper how people were tired of their pumpkins[Read More…]

Letter: Wilderness Act would cut off access to land
Diana DeGette, representing the First District of Colorado, is once again proposing a large swath of land or 890,000 acres be set aside as part of the Colorado Wilderness Act of 2009. You may recall that U.S. Rep. DeGette proposed the same 1.65 million acres in 2007 that the Hidden[Read More…]

Letter: Another example of political correctness
“When the white men killed the Indians, we called it a victory” has been quoted and re-quoted in the Herald Times.
Letter: Narcissism at the heart of protests
On one of my favorite communal Web sites this past week, I engaged a discussion on “narcissistic people.” I started this conversation because of the contemptuous, disdainful conversations I hear every day. It is in the media, papers, on the Web and it is seen in every corner that you[Read More…]

Your generalizations are nothing more than hyperbolically regurgitated information i.e. Europe Missile Defense System, perhaps you should check out www.carnegieendowment.org to gain a nonpartisan perspective.
Letter: ‘Meeker Incident’ waters down history
