MEEKER I The Meeker High School wrestling team opened its season in Grand Junction, wrestling in the Colorado Mesa University Duals, where the squad won three of the five duals wrestled.

MHS wrestlers open at CMU Duals
MEEKER I After qualifying 10 wrestlers and placing third as a team in the 2014 Colorado State Wrestling Championships, the Meeker Cowboys will begin their quest to improve this season, starting in Grand Junction, when they compete in the Colorado Mesa University Duals.

Eleven Meeker wrestlers competed in the Paonia Summer Duals, and many wrestled more than 12 matches during the two-day event, which featured 4A and 5A teams from Colorado along with teams from Nebraska, Arizona and New Mexico.

MEEKER I The Meeker High School wrestling team finished third in the Screamin’ Eagle tournament Saturday in Paonia, then pinned the Bulldogs seven times to win a dual in Craig on Tuesday.
