RBC I Responding to a recent surge in cases of whooping cough (pertussis), the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is urging Coloradans to ensure they’re up to date on vaccinations. One hundred new cases of pertussis were reported in the second half of October alone.

Health department urges people to get immunized
RBC I Dr. Chris Urbina, chief medical officer and executive director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, said, “We are alerting the public to an epidemic number of pertussis cases in Colorado and are urging Coloradans to get vaccinated against pertussis.”
