CNCC presidential finalist George in Rangely today for open forum
RANGELY | Dr. Nancy McCallin, president of the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), announced that she and Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) presidential finalist, Russell George, will conduct community forums at the Rangely and Craig campuses on Jan. 13.
RBC high school sports get under way
RBC I The Meeker High School wrestling team will open the 2011 portion of the season tonight at home, with a dual against Coal Ridge, starting at 6 p.m., while the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will wait until Friday before taking the court.

Up and down el Rio Blanco: Happy New Year
I started to drive to Rangely last Friday, 40-45 mph on slick, bumpy, snow-packed roads, the sky was clear and my phone read 7 below zero. As I drove through Powell Park, a semi was flashing its lights and the driver was giving me the slow down wave.
