Rangely Mayor Frank Huitt had a successful, if not completely enjoyable, trip to Tajikistan. Huitt said he traveled 19,000 miles on some of the worst roads he had ever seen—even after working the oilfield for 30-plus years. He said it was “cold and miserable but a trip I will never forget.” He shot his Mid-Asian ibex, top, at 15,000 feet altitude, his Marco Polo sheep at about 15,300 feet altitude (middle) and the yak (bottom) at 14,000 feet. His trip also brought him close to the Afghanistan border.
