The sky’s the limit …

Colten Fritzlan, 20, competed in his first National Finals Rodeo this year and finished third the final world standings, earning the bull-riding Rookie of the Year title, and won the average at the NFR by scoring in seven of the 10 rounds. Fritzlan’s season total earnings are $241,446.89. He is a 2018 graduate of Rifle High School with family connections to Rio Blanco County.

A headline in last week’s Herald stated “Fritzlan tenth, Wallace ninth at National Finals Rodeo” on PAGE 1B.

These are the positions in which the riders entered the National Finals Rodeo competition, not placed in the competition.

When the article was published last week, Wallace was sitting in first place and Fritzlan was in third place.
