RANGELY | The Rangely Panthers hosted the Hayden Tigers for their homecoming game, and it was a thrilling match. The Panthers opened the scoring with a spectacular 40-yard touchdown run by Kobey Chism. Chism was a standout player, making a significant impact in all three facets of the game. On offense, he threw two touchdowns and ran for one, showcasing his versatility. Not to be outdone, he also returned a kickoff for a touchdown on special teams. Defensively, Chism led the team with an impressive 15 tackles throughout the night.
Gage Fielder had a remarkable performance on offense, accumulating 58 rushing yards and 80 receiving yards, capping it off with a touchdown. The offensive line put forth their best performance of the season, showing continuous improvement week after week.
The game remained competitive throughout the night, with both teams trading blows. The Panthers fought relentlessly, managing to score a late touchdown that tied the game. They then converted a crucial 2-point conversion to take a 36-34 lead with just 30 seconds remaining.
