MEEKER | The Town of Meeker is pleased to announce that it will assume full management and maintenance responsibilities for seven community parks previously overseen by the ERBM Parks and Recreation District.
Effective June 1, 2026, the Town’s Public Works Department will oversee operations at the following locations: Town Park, Circle Park, Sanderson Park, 6th Street Field, Foothills Park, Sage Hills Park, and McHatton Park.
This transition reflects the Town’s commitment to maintaining these valued public spaces for residents and visitors. The Town of Meeker is committed to maintaining a parks system that enhances our residents’ quality of life. The Town will provide parks that are safe, and accessible, that offer a variety of recreation, playground and greenspace opportunities for people of all ages.
“We recognize how important these parks are to our community, and our visitors.” said Mayor Travis Day. “Our parks are a wonderful gathering place for local clubs, youth sports, daily walks and much more. Our goal is to make the transition seamless to the community and continue providing high-quality spaces for recreation, events, and everyday enjoyment.
Citizens and groups that utilize these spaces are encouraged to contact the Town about future use. Additionally park pavilion reservations for Town Park, Circle Park and Sanderson Park will be available by calling 970-878-5344 or by visiting the Town’s official website at www.townofmeeker.org.
The Town appreciates the efforts and contributions of the ERBM Parks and Recreation District in developing and maintaining these parks over the years. We are proud to continue the tradition of offering great outdoor recreation.
