The Rangely Panther wrestling team was in Meeker this past weekend. Twenty-five Panther wrestlers competed in the Casey Turner Memorial tournament and 18 placed in the top four.
The team has shown signs of improvement each week.
This week’s champions were Tyce Lucero, Dylan Smuts, Anthony Dorris and Justin Rusher. Runners-up were Brecklin McElhaney, Jedidiah Vanderwark, Colton Stevens, Kasen LeBleu, Corbin Lucero, Kehlin Myers, Karver Lopez and Brody McElhaney.
Third place finishers were Landon Carlson, Damen Maybury, Joseph McKay and C.J. Lucero. Fourth place finishers were Wyatt Wiley and Max Stout. Competing in the tournament but not placing were Bryce Willis, Jaxon Torsell, Kobley Chism, Landon Williams, Joshua Dunn, Bryan MacKay and Tytus Coombs.
The team has no more tournaments left this season. The Panthers will travel to Rifle Saturday, then have an off week before ending the season in Craig.
