Kyle Ward, workforce manager at HistoriCorps, a historic preservation non-profit based out of Morrison, Colorado, that provides weeklong volunteer opportunities restoring historic buildings, typically on public lands, are seeking volunteers for the Yellow Creek Schoolhouse restoration project from April 23 – May 7 in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management White River Field Office.
The Yellow Creek Schoolhouse has a multi-generational connection to the farming and ranching history of the area. “This would be a great opportunity for locals to engage with their past and keep a piece of history intact,” Ward said.
