RBC I The last day to register to vote in this year’s general election Nov. 6 is coming up soon. You must register by Monday, Oct. 9. You may register at the County Clerk’s office in Meeker or in Rangely at the Western Annex, or online at www.govotecolorado.com.
The general election will be held as a polling place election, utilizing the regular polling places. Only voters who have applied for a mail-in ballot for this election or who are registered as a Permanent Mail-In Voter (PMIV) will receive their ballot by mail.
Mail-in ballot applications (formerly known as absentee ballots) are available at the County Clerk’s office in Meeker at 555 Main St. or at the Western Annex in Rangely at 17497 Hwy 64. Applications are also available on the Clerk and Recorder page of the county website at www.co.rio-blanco.co.us or may be completed online at www.govotecolorado.com. Applications for ballots to be mailed must be submitted or faxed 970-878-3587 by Tuesday, Oct. 30. Mail-in ballots may be picked up in person through Friday, Nov. 2.
Ballots will be mailed the week of Oct. 15 to voters who are registered as permanent mail-in voters or those who have applied for a mail-in ballot specifically for this election. If your mailing address changes seasonally or you have a new mailing address, please verify that your mail ballot address is current for an Oct. 15 mailing.
Early voting is Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Fairfield Center in Meeker and the Western Annex in Rangely.

Blue Books will be mailed by the state on or before Oct. 5. The County Clerk’s office will be closed to all business except elections on Nov. 6, General Election Day.
