RANGELY — The winter assistance relief management (W.A.R.M.) will be holding its final meeting of the season on April 9.
The program has helped many people in the Rangely area with their utility bills during the past several months. It is important to note that the program operates from grants and donations. This is not a tax-supported program.
Recent donations from companies such as Sav-On-Propane for $150 and community groups such as Epsilon Chi Sorority for $200 keep the program active, along with many other smaller donations. They all add up toward helping those in need.
The committee is putting together a list of companies, community groups and individuals that would be available to help people in need by doing some insulation work on their houses. This may be as simple as caulking or applying foam around windows and doors, applying plastic sheeting over windows, up to insulating an attic. This is the type of activity that could be done through the summer months.
Anyone interested in getting involved in this type of activity should contact Brenda LeBleu at Rangely Town Hall at (970) 675-8477 or contact any committee member.
