WEEKLY CALL REVIEW
AT THE RIO BLANCO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DISPATCH CENTER
April 27-May 3, 2020
Meeker Dispatch Center administered 477 phone calls last week including 18 911 calls, answered 59 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 128 outgoing calls. A total of 167 calls for service were created, 68 for the Sheriff’s Office, 56 for MPD.
Note the department breakdown of calls may differ from the total number reported due to individual incidents with multiple agencies responding.
• Law enforcement conducted 28 traffic stops
• Sheriff’s Deputies issued eight warnings, two citations on 10 stops
• MPD issued 14 warnings, one citation and one arrest on 16 stops
• Three crashes, two involving wildlife
• One DUI arrest, three assists with CSP
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 68 calls for service
• Three 911 misdials/tests
• Three civil papers served
• 16 agency assists
• Nine animal calls
• Two civil calls
• Two transports for COVID tests
• Two illegal dumping cases
• Three suspicious incidents
• Three traffic complaints
• Three VIN inspections
• Two warrant arrests
• One each: ATV accident, disturbance, BLM fire, fraud, juvenile problem, K-9 deployment, motorist assist, property, trespass.

• No 911 misdials/tests
• Four agency assists
• Seven animal calls
• 18 business checks
• Two citizen assists
• Four civil calls
• Three disturbances
• Two fraud cases
• Two juvenile problems
• Two restraining order violations
• Three suspicious incidents
• Three traffic complaints
• Two VIN inspections
• One each: abandoned vehicle, harassment, unattended death
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to five calls
• Four ambulance requests, one assist with CSP on a traffic crash
Rio Blanco Detentions
• 17 current inmates, 15 males and two females
• One jail transport to or from another facility
• Four arrests, RPD-one, RBCSO-three
• Three inmates released
