WEEKLY CALL REVIEW AT THE RIO BLANCO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DISPATCH CENTER

Meeker Dispatch Center administered 377 phone calls last week including 14 911 calls, 55 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and dispatchers placed 112 outgoing calls. A total of 140 calls for service were created.
Note the department breakdown of calls may differ from the total number reported due to individual incidents with multiple agencies responding.
Law enforcement conducted 31 traffic stops
* Sheriff’s Deputies issued two citations on 23 stops
* MPD issued two citations on eight stops
* There was one traffic arrest
Three traffic crashes occurred in RBC, one involving wildlife and vehicles. RBCSO and MPD assisted Colorado State Patrol on two calls.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 57 requests for service
* Seven agency assists, two 911 hang ups, six animal calls, four civil papers served, two business checks, four citizen assists, three civil calls, three disturbances, three motorist assists, three traffic complaints, three traffic complaints, three VIN inspections and four warrant arrests.
* One each: alarm, attended death, harassment, ranch/residential checks, suspicious incident, traffic hazard and weapons offense.
MPD responded to 62 requests for service
* Four agency assists, four 911 hang ups, five animal calls, 23 business checks, four citizen assists, three code enforcement, two disturbances, two motorist assists, two warrant arrests
* One each: abandoned vehicle, civil, harassment, juvenile problem, missing person, parking violation, property, suspicious incident traffic accident, traffic complaint, traffic hazard, VIN inspection
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to eight calls
* Two ambulance requests, three medical transfers to another facility, two fire alarms, one traffic crash,

* Current inmate population is 15, 11 males and four females
* Four warrant arrests
* Released eight
* Booked in six, two from MPD , one from Rangely Police Department and three from RBCSO.
