Weekly Call Review: March 14, 2019

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.
March 4-10, 2019
The dispatch center processed 432 phone calls this last week, receiving 39 911 calls, answered 61 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 126 outgoing phone calls. A total of 161 calls for service were created, 67 for the Sheriff’s Office, 72 for MPD and five assists with Rangely Police Department (RPD). (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency responses).
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 15 traffic stops, issuing three citations and and MPD had 11 stops issuing one citation. Highway 13 had four traffic stops all warnings.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s Office included seven agency assists, four 911 hang ups, six animal calls, eight civil papers served, five motorist assists, two suspicious incidents, two traffic complaints, six traffic hazards, two VIN inspections, two warrant arrests and one each: alarm, citizen assist, domestic violence, juvenile problem.
MPD calls included seven agency assists, two 911 hang ups, three alarms, nine animal calls, 20 business checks, two suspicious incidents, four VIN inspections and one each: attended death, criminal mischief, domestic violence, gas skip, motorist assist, traffic complaint and warrant arrest.
There were seven calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue including two alarms, two vehicle crashes and three ambulance requests.
There were four assists with Colorado State Patrol.
Rio Blanco Detentions facility booked in six, RBSO-3, Rangely PD-2 and Meeker PD-1 and released eight. Transported four to or from another facility.and there are currently 13 inmates in the facility.
There were no DUI arrests and three vehicle crashes reported in the county.
