What’s new in Extension-related programming

RBC | Pests, pests, pests. Don’t miss the Conservation District’s Mormon Cricket meetings being held on Feb. 19 at the fire station in Meeker from 6–7:30 p.m. A second meeting will be held in Rangely on Feb. 20 at the fire protection District also from 6-7:30 p.m. Come learn how the White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts, the Rio Blanco County Weed and Pest Service and the CSU Extension Office will be coordinating to track cricket spread, administer District and County cost share programs and distribute education materials.

The Extension office is also holding its annual Weed Pesticide Applicator’s Training Workshop on Thursday, Feb. 6 starting at 8:30 a.m. This is an all day workshop and lunch will be served. Prior to the meeting Linda Masters will be updating participants on the latest information on ground squirrel and Mormon cricket control and handing out “Read the Label” Fact Sheets.
