White River Alliance volunteers in 2021 after a clean-up day.
MEEKER | Join members of the White River Alliance this Saturday for a trash clean-up day. If you would like to help, please meet at the Lake Avery spillway parking area Saturday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m. We will split up to work at multiple sites, making our way down toward town to meet at noon at Circle Park. All help is welcome. Bring your gloves. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided for volunteers.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This annual event is near and dear to me. My oldest son Ethan was stubborn and determined about a lot of things, including not littering. He was known to wake up his camping companions after a long night around the bonfire and make them clean up their messes.
